This beautiful route will take you along the coast of the Iroise Sea.
You'll set off on an assault on the lighthouses of the West: Saint Mathieu, Trézien and Ploudalmezeau.
A host of water sports activities, museums and festivals also await you on this route in summer.
You will take the tourist route.
La D85 from Plougonvelin to Le Conquet. La D789 from Le Conquet to Trébabu. Coastal paths and streets as far as Lampaul-Plouarzel.
Then you will take the D28 then the D27 to Lanildut, Porspoder, Le Melon and Portsall.
Next, take the streets along the coast to Lampaul Ploudalmezeau. This is the D168 which will take you to Saint Renan.
Plougonvelin is a small seaside resort. You can enjoy swimming and water sports and take advantage of the summer's cultural attractions:
You can also visit a number of historic sites such as Fort de Berthaume and Saint Mathieu Abbey.
On the way to the Saint Mathieu lighthouse, you can stop off at the 39-45 museum, which retraces the lives of the people of the Pays d'Iroise, with its many objects, weapons, uniforms, writings and a room reproducing the strange atmosphere of a bombing raid.
It's very moving. I tried it out!
Leaving Pointe Saint Mathieu along the winding coastline as far as Le Conquet, you'll find plenty of places to stop with your motorhome and admire the breathtaking views of the Molène Archipelago.
You will then arrive at Le Conquet. It's a small medieval port town full of charm and little shops. You can park near the town hall.
If you feel like it, you can take your bikes to Ushant!
Then it's back on to Plouarzel, where you'll find a lovely free parking area on the seafront in the old campsite, with plenty of amenities.
You'll love climbing to the top of the Trézien lighthouse for a 360° view of the Iroise region and the Atlantic Ocean.
Leaving Plouarzel by the coast, you'll discover a magnificent road with views over the ocean and plenty of little beaches to stop at.
Every summer, Plouarzel organises a two-day crab festival, during which you can lunch and dine to the rhythm of Breton bands.
The Lampaul-Plouarzel service area also offers a wide range of services right on the seafront.
Continue on to Lanildut, a small fishing port where you can visit the seaweed museum and the Aber Ildut.
You can then spend the night at the aire de Portsall and the next day enjoy the pretty beach.
As night approaches, you can continue on your way and enjoy some pancakes at the top of Ploudalmezeau's old water tower.
You'll be amazed by the dance of lights from the lighthouses in the Iroise Sea.
In Lampaul-Ploudalmezeau you can stay in the motorhome area at the municipal campsite in the dunes.
To finish off this route of the lighthouses, I suggest you make a final stop at Saint Renan.
This beautiful medieval town offers a wide range of water sports on the lake, as well as many summer festivities, including the famous medieval festival held every two years in July.
