You'll start the tour at Saint-Désirat, where you'll find unique views of the wine-growing hillsides. Your next destinations will be Saint-Agrève and Lachamp-Raphaël (the highest village in France).Ardèche). You will then continue to the communes of Meyras and Thueyts which are very welcoming and have a number of tourist attractions, such as Le château de Hautségur or the Via Ferrata Pont du Diable.
You will then move on to Largentière, a recognised communee for its rich heritage. Next, you'll head for the commune Laurac-en-Vivarais. Rosières and Bourg-Saint-Andéol and their historic sites will be your final destinations.
The village of Saint-Désirat (population 804) lies at the foot of the hills, on the fertile land of an old branch of the Rhône, behind the Chatelet hill. Here you'll find unique views over the Saint Joseph and Côtes du Rhône AOC wine-growing hillsides, as well as fruit-growing on the flatter slopes.
Saint-Agrève lies between the upper Doux valley, the Eyrieux valley and the Haut-Lignon plateau. At an altitude of between 500 and 1000 metres, it is a very mountainous region. Saint-Agrève has a population of 2,400.
Lachamp-Raphaël is the highest village in the Ardèche. It is dominated by the Suc de Montivernoux. The village offers exceptional views of the Alps and the Monts d'Ardèche.
Meyras lies at the crossroads of the 3 valleys of the Ardèche, Fontaulière and Lignon. The population of Meyras is approaching one thousand. It's a welcoming town where life is good, with many tourist and cultural attractions.
Thuyets (population 1,200) is an exceptional village offering a variety of thrilling activities and magnificent scenery. The village of Thuyets is full of surprises.
Largentière, a thousand-year-old town with a rich architectural heritage, is the sub-prefecture of the Ardèche. It lies in the heart of the southern Ardèche and has a population of 1,724.
Laurac-en-Vivarais (population 988) is a rural commune in the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park, 37 km south-west of Montélimar.
Rosières has a population of 1188. It lies at the gateway to the Cévennes and Provence, on the outskirts of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Nature Park.
Bourg-Saint-Andéol (population 7,200) is located on the right bank of the Rhône, at the southern end of the river. It's a town steeped in history, where you can live and breathe its heritage.
