Come and discover the Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur region through excursions in the regional nature parks! There's so much to discover, from hilltop villages to olive groves, vineyards, gorges and caves, you'll be amazed by the beauty of the landscape.

Start your road trip in the Bauges Massif, then continue on to the Chartreuse Massif. Then drive through the Vercors Regional Park to discover its spectacular scenery: waterfalls, caves and needles, followed by the Ecrins National Park and its Grande Randonnée trail 54. Take a tour of the Parc du Mercantour, then the Parc des Préalpes d'Azur before arriving at the Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon. Finish your tour in the south of the region with the Luberon, Alpilles and Camargue parks.

Discover the Massif de Bauges and the most beautiful lakes in France. The park has been awarded the "Geopark" label and offers magnificent views over the villages, meadows and forests. Created in December 1995, this regional nature park is home to numerous animal and plant species, including chamois, marmots and mouflons. Numerous sites bear witness to its cultural heritage, including crossroads, tavalan drying sheds, barns and bread ovens. The historic and cultural heart of the Massif de Bauges comprises 14 villages. To discover the park, we recommend hiking, horse-riding or mountain biking.

A massif with a thousand landscapes, the Chartreuse Nature Reserve is home to typical mountain villages, emerald-coloured lakes and lush green plains with views of the summits. In fact, when you visit the massif, you'll be on the lookout for exceptional natural sites. A popular destination for hikers, the park has been classified as a Regional Nature Park since 1995, and is home to more than 2,000 plant species - a third of the total in France. You can also pick mushrooms, observe animals, go skiing if you visit in winter, and go hiking.

Created in 1970 and covering an area of 205,806 hectares, the Vercors Regional Nature Park is a veritable natural citadel with marvellous panoramic views. Sculpted by erosion, it has produced spectacular landscapes: waterfalls, caves, needles and gorges. This exceptional environment is home to remarkable flora and fauna, which the park is committed to preserving. Recognised nationally and internationally, the Vercors Regional Nature Park monitors the flora and fauna, and an eco-climatic observatory allows you to discover and follow the evolution of these environments and species.
