Roadtrip in a motorhome to the most beautiful villages in the Midi-Pyrénées

Come and visit the jewels of the South!

On this road trip, you'll discover the Midi-Pyrénées region and its villages, classified as the "Most Beautiful Villages in France". The region is renowned for its cultural heritage and natural sites.

You'll start in Carennac, then move on to Loubressac and the famous Château de Castelnau. You'll then continue on to Autoire and Rocamandour, with its cultural and historical heritage.

You will continue your tour via Cardaillac and its medieval history. To finish, you'll visit Capdenac and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.

  • Loubressac is perched on its rocky promontory. Chis town overlooks the Dordogne, Cère and Bave valleys.
  • The medieval town of Loubressac stands on a promontory with the Château de Castelnau, its church, the towers of Saint-Laurent and the roofs of its houses covered in beautiful flat brown tiles.
  • It was in this city that "Quelques messieurs trop tranquilles" was filmed in 1972.

  • Rocamadour is one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France".
  • This emblematic town in the Lot region is crowned by its castle and has several storeys clinging to the cliff that separates the Alzou stream from the Causse de Gramat.
  • It is said of this town that "The houses are on the stream, the churches on the houses, the rocks on the churches, the castle on the rocks."
  • And all around the village, the Causse and the Alzou and Ouysse valleys are full of treasures.

  • Saint Cirq Lapopie is a medieval town that was divided in the Middle Ages between several feudal dynasties, including the Lapopie, Gourdon and Cardaillac families.

  • As you wander through the narrow streets of the village, you can still admire the arcades of the woodturners' stalls, a symbol of the economic life of the time.
