If you're looking for peace and quiet, freedom, authenticity and the spirit of the mountains in ski resorts, the Jura resorts tour is for you. Come and discover the Jura through 6 resorts.
You start your tour in Mouthe with the La Source du Doubs resort. This family-friendly resort is located right next to the source of the Doubs. You'll then continue on to Foncine le Haut. Then you'll continue your itinerary with the Nordic ski resort of Chapelle des Bois. You can also pass through Les Rousses, a Franco-Swiss resort, then the Lélex-Crozet alpine ski area and its Mont Jura resort. Finally, to round off the tour, you'll pass through the little village of Chézery Forens.
To start the tour, we're offering you an exhilarating experience that you won't soon forget. The sled dogs at the Source du Doubs station in Mouthe are just waiting for you! Mouthe is "France's little Siberia". Temperatures can drop to -30°C. Enjoy the great outdoors on 6 to 9 km trails through snow and fir trees. If you like skiing, there are 4 runs (red, green, blue and baby) for beginners and experienced skiers alike!
A hike to La source du Doubs will plunge you into the heart of nature to recharge your batteries.
The winter sports resort of Foncine le Haut is located in the Haut Jura Regional Nature Park, close to Switzerland. 3 ski runs for the more experienced and 2 snow lines for novices await you. This is the ideal resort for trying out snowtubing and airboarding, or sliding on inflatable sledges.
Chapelle Des Bois is a cross-country ski resort. You can ski between fir trees and snow-covered trees! It also offers guided activities such as snowshoe hikes to help you discover the area.
Les Rousses is the union of 4 villages: Les Rousses, Lamoura, Prémanon and Bois d'Amont, on the Swiss border. One of the special features of this resort is that it offers you the chance to go ski-joëring. This involves skiing while being pulled by horses.
Lelex-Crozet is part of the Mont Jura resort. It's the ideal place to try snowkiting, a type of glider that tows skis or snowboards.
To round off the tour in style, try something new. Discover original activities such as curling, snow rafting and snowmobiling. Thrills and fun guaranteed! Chezery Forens is a place ideal for skiing and getting away from it all. Feel the great calm and freedom as you glide between the sapins and spruces. And for those with a sweet tooth, the Abbaye cheese dairy will be delighted to introduce you to some of the region's typical cheeses (Bleu de Gex, Tome de l'Ain and Comté), sure to tantalise your taste buds!
