Chatel Guyon est située à la porte dentrée du Parc naturel régional des Volcans dAuvergne, en plein cur dun site naturel dexception, entre plaine et montagne au nord de la chaine du Puy.
Le site du parc national des volcans dAuvergne est inscrit au patrimoine mondial de lUNESCO pour ses remarquables caractéristiques géologiques.
The town lies on the edge of one of France's most fertile plains: the Limagne. At an altitude of 409 metres, it stretches along the banks of the river Sardon.

Chaque dimanche matin, retrouvez de nombreux producteurs sur le marché de Châtel-Guyon, qui sétend de la Place Brosson jusquà lAvenue Baraduc : fruits et légumes, pains, fromages, charcuteries, rotisseries, traiteurs, mais également vêtements, livres, produits locaux, etc.
En Juillet Août : marchés nocturnes tous les vendredis de 19h à 23h, Place Brosson et Avenue Baraduc : Plus de 50 étals proposent de nombreux produits locaux, gourmands ou artisanaux, en parallèle des commerces, bars et restaurants ouverts et animés pour loccasion.
