Situated in the Pyrénées Orientales, on the Mediterranean coast, Le Barcarès is a dynamic, attractive commune that enjoys an exceptional natural setting, between sea and lake.
Tourists on motorhome holidays can stop off at the Le Barcarès service area to take advantage of all the town has to offer. Ideally located, it's a stone's throw from the shops and pedestrian precinct.
In just 8 minutes on foot, you're in the town centre, and in 5 minutes, you can get to the boat hire companies and succumb to the charms of blue tourism, which is particularly well developed in the area!
Every morning between 9am and 11.30am, the boats return to port with the local catch and sell you the day's catch direct. From September to June, morning markets from 9am to 1pm, Place République (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), Place Martinique (Tuesday). Between July and August you can also visit the night market.
