Brasserie des Fagnes >13 minutes by car from Couvin. Enter one of the temples of Belgian beer. The brews follow the rhythm of the seasons... The beers are fruitier in spring, lighter and more refreshing in summer, amber in autumn with more body and flavour, and more alcoholic in winter with a tendency towards strong browns. You won't be able to taste them anywhere else!
The Abbey of Notre-Dame de Scourmont in Chimay is 27 minutes away by car. This Cistercian abbey, built in 1850, is best known for its famous Trappist beer, still brewed on site in the greatest secrecy: Chimay beer, known the world over.
Brasserie de Silenrieux 10 minutes by car. This former railway building has been converted into a tasting room for special beers and regional products, a shop window where farmers present and sell their products, and a brewery. Beers produced: Sara (amber), Joseph (blonde: spelt beer with an exclusive fruity flavour), Sarrasin Biologique (blonde), Pavée de l'Ours (blonde with honey).

The Corps de Garde Museum in Maubeuge is 11 minutes away by car. The Corps de Garde is an integral part of the defence system designed by Vauban. It now houses a small museum retracing the military history of Maubeuge.
