Chouzy-Sur-Cisse is a town in the Loir-et-Cher department. It is a beautiful village with long walks along the Cisse lake or through the town centre. Chouzy-sur-Cisse was the scene of a confrontation between King Louis the Pious and his rebellious son around 834, and contains a number of monuments that bear witness to its history: the priory belonging to Marmoutier, the church of Saint-Martin, the abbey of La Guiche and the manor house of Laleu.
The nearest market is in Herbault (15 minutes by car), every Monday morning.
- The village is a 6-minute walk from the site. You'll find a bakery, a jeweller's, a grocer's, a chemist's, a bar and a butcher's.
